West Wales School of Motoring Course Details and Prices (manual/automatic car)
Our intensive courses are specially tailored to suit all learners at every level who have passed their DVSA Driving Theory Test. Residential courses include collection and return from Carmarthen/Aberystwyth rail/coach station, the DVSA Practical Driving Test fee, one-to-one tuition and family-run B&B accommodation in Cardigan or Newcastle Emlyn. Intensive Driving Courses
25 hours over 5 days

This intensive course is suitable for the confident learner with experience of junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres and hill starts.
30 hours over 6 days

This course is tailored to the learner who has some experience of junctions and manoeuvres with good clutch control.
35 hours over 7 days

This course is designed for the learner who has experience of junctions and some clutch control.

This course is suitable for the learner who has driven on the road, is confident with gears and has some clutch control.

Starting from scratch: Theory and learn
DVSA Driving Theory Test
25 hours over 5 days
(5 nts B&B/
5 days driving)
This is for the complete novice who needs to pass the DVSA Driving Theory Test (in preparation for DVSA Practical Driving Test) and start learning on the road. The course includes Theory Test fee, 5 nights B&B accommodation and 10 hours theory/15 hours driving (depending on student requirement).
PASS PLUS Courses
Pass Plus covers motorway, dual carriageway, town, rural, night and bad weather driving.
6-9 hours + 3 hours in classroom
Pass Plus Cymru For students between 17 and 25 years of age living in Wales. Also includes motorway, dual carriageway, town, rural, night and bad weather driving. There is an additional 3 hour classroom session.
Minimum 2 hour assessment
BTEC Level 1 and 2 Award – Demonstrate Safe Driving (Car Driving)
: For drivers who have passed their test with at least 10 hours driving experience. Includes written and oral assessment. Add this qualification to your CV and gain a competitive edge when you apply for university or college, it will also help to save on your insurance.
Passing BTEC Level 1 is equivalent to achieving:
